We are seeking a passionate, collaborative, and dedicated educator to help us empower young children and their families through quality early childhood education. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with Creative Curriculum and program goals Create a classroom environment that supports children’s development, interests, and individual needs Ensure a safe and healthy space in compliance with Head Start, Title 5, and Title 22 regulations Apply positive behavior guidance and child redirection techniques Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with families through parent partnerships Conduct required parent-teacher conferences in alignment with the Head Start Act and Title 5 Administer ASQ and ASQ/SE developmental screenings Develop and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each child in the cohort, in collaboration with families Maintain accurate and timely records and documentation in accordance with program standards Foster inclusive practices that support children with special needs and learning differences Ensure children with disabilities receive needed support (e.g., toileting, feeding, adaptive equipment) Attend required team meetings and trainings Perform other related duties as assigned Required: Child Development Associate Teacher Permit Minimum of 3 Infant/Toddler units Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform classroom duties with or without reasonable accommodations Must be 18 years or older Must pass a health screening, TB test, and fingerprint background check Valid Driver’s License Qualifications: Associate Degree (AA) in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field Knowledge of Head Start Federal Regulations and procedures Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Cantonese (reading, writing, speaking) Make a real impact in the lives of young children and families Work in a supportive, inclusive, and mission-driven environment Access to a comprehensive benefits package Engage with a diverse and passionate team of colleagues Opportunities for professional growth and global learning connections
